Application Developer

Description

SAIC is looking for a Application Developer to help support the Modernization of Legacy IRS systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and assist with the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment for a GMF Modernized Application.
• Support software development, modernization, enhancements, and developmental OM upgrades.
• Working with the Unisys OS 2200 systems using COBOL (UCOB), DMS, RDMS, ECL, etc.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science, or equivalent education. (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
• Ability to obtain and maintain an MBI clearance. 
• At least 10 years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of Unisys ClearPath OS 2200, COBOL (UCOB), DMS, RDMS, TIP, ECL, InfoConnect and other core Unisys OS 2200 Mainframe technologies.
• Experience with development methodologies with a minimum of 5 years using Agile.
• Experience developing physical and logical architecture, leveraging client templates and processes.
•  Must be client focused, display interpersonal skills and be an effective team member.
• Understanding of IRS Submission Processing.
• Developer experience with Unisys OS 2200 platform.
• Knowledge of computer programming, database access, and applicable tools.
• Experience with Unisys COBOL, both ACOB and UCOB.
• Developer experience with DMS, RDMS, ECL, InfoConnect and related tools.

Desired Skills

• An Active IRS MBI Clearance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Java, mainframe programming and migration.
• Understanding of Modernization Approaches.    
• Understanding of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)          
• Understanding of Application analysis tools. 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
