Joining two table with count

I have two tables in my database 'nomination' and 'voting'
I want to join the two tables to list out the names  in the nomination according to their category columns then count the numbers of the occurrence of the nomination.id as submitted to the voting table  e.g

Politics
Joshua- 4 votes
Kennedy - 10 votes

Music
Chris Brown - 3 votes
West - 200 votes
